Ghatasthapana is one of the significant rituals during Navratri. It marks the beginning of nine days festivity. Our scriptures have well defined rules and guidelines to perform Ghatasthapana during a certain period of time at the beginning of Navratri. Ghatasthapana is invocation of Goddess Shakti and doing it wrong time, as our scriptures forewarn, might bring wrath of the Goddess Shakti. Ghatasthapana is prohibited during Amavasya and night time. The most auspicious or Shubh time to do Ghatasthapana is first one third of the day while Pratipada is prevailing. If due to some reasons this time is not available then Ghatasthapana can be done during Abhijit Muhurta. It is advised to avoid Nakshatra Chitra and Vaidhriti Yoga during Ghatasthapana but those are not prohibited. The most important factor to consider is that Ghatasthapana is done before Hindu midday while Pratipada is prevailing.

Saraswati’s favorite color white assumes special significance on this day. Statues of the goddess are dressed in white clothes and are worshiped by devotees adorning white garments. Saraswati is offered sweets which are given away as ‘prasad’ to all people attending the ritual worship. There is also a custom of ancestor worship, known as ‘Pitri-Tarpan’ in many parts of India during Vasant Panchami.

Pitra puja is a way to give respect to ancestors.

For the late departed ancestors prita paksh is observed once in a year in Bhadrapad / Ashwin months into the autumn. Its duration is of 15 days from Purnima (full moon) to Amavas (new moon). We also call it Shradh, Sharadh Pakhwada, Sharadh Parv, by which you get blessing from departed ancestors in which we repay to them by this ritual.

Many problems may occur in one’s life their Pitras are not happy. Pitra Dosh is not a curse from the ancestors, but it is a debt of the ancestors. The person having Pitra Dosh in his horoscope is supposed to pay for the ancestor’s debt. So a Pitra Dosh in a horoscope does not mean that the ancestors are cursing the person having Pitra Dosh in his horoscope. Pitra dosh is undoubtedly one of the most feared doshas in a horoscope according to Vedic astrology and it can trouble the native with various kinds of problems and misfortunes in all spheres of his life.

While the rituals of the ceremony may differ according to the region, Annaprashan Celebrates baby's transition towards solids food. Annaprashan is conducted when a newborn baby is ready to consume solids diet. Annaprashan Ceremony can be performed after six months and before the first birthday. For boys, Annaprashan is performed during the even months, generally in the child's sixth, eighth or tenth month. Annaprashan is performed during the odd months for girls, usually the child's seventh, ninth or eleventh month. Annaprashan is ceremony is mainly conducted at home or at a temple.

The aim of Annaprashan Sanskar is showing the sense of purity and it is performed for healthy growth and strength of the body. It teaches the importance of piousness of food. Mother Durga is called Goddess of power. The yajna method which is fulfilled in order to please Durga, is constantly called Chandi Yajna. The Navchandi yagna has been described very powerful in Sanatan Dharma. This yajna can be corrected by the situation of the disturbed planets and good luck starts giving it to you after this method. After this sacrifice the man can feel himself in a blissful environment. It has even said about the glory of the Vedas that after the continuous Chandi Yagna, your enemies can not spoil anything of yours. Dedicating this yajna to Ganesha, Lord Shiva, the new planet, and the new Durga (Goddess), the human life is blessed.

Destruction of birth and birth from Srimad Bhagwat tales of hearing is the destructive and spiritual development of a zodiac. Where in other eras, hard efforts have to be made to attain the benefits of liberation and salvation, only to hear the story in Kali Yuga, the person crosses the Bhavsagar.
